Here’s what so great about this coat.
The goal was to make it a great October to April MotoCoat. More than a jacket, it was made longer to form a good seal to keep the cold out when seated in the riding position. Next is the removable thermal liner that includes sleeves, all the way down to the wrist. When it warms outside, the liner zips out quickly. With it removed, there’s even plenty of room for an electric vest or liner. Here’s a photo of the liner, zipped in——it really hold in plenty of warmth for cold rides and colder nights. The collar is also made super-soft, for long or short rides and fits so wind can’t get in.
Its very warm on cold mornings; and by the end of the day, opening the vents and removing the liner keeps you nice and cool, as the day had warmed up, even with snow on the ground.
To keep the cold out, we’ve used a zipper that seals well, and a front, rubber-like seal over and under the zipper to keep cold, snow, and rain out—-and keeps the inside dry and warm.
The coat adjusts to fit at the waist and biceps; again to fit you well and keep bad weather out. At the wrists, there is a zipper, starting at the cuff and going half-way up the forearm. Unzipped, it’s easier to get your arm through the sleeve. Zipped closed, bad weather can’t go up the sleeves. Here’s a photo, to give you a better idea of this:
We’ve tested lots of fabric materials in the past, to counter road rash. For that, we wanted an abrasion-resistant fabric, and we chose one that maximizes your protection; 1680D Cordura. We tested that with road surface, sandpaper, even a rotary sander. This material easily survived all the work put into wearing it down. It’s used on ‘high-impact’ areas; shoulders and elbows.
