International and Australian Motorcycling

International and Australian Motorcycling

It took awhile, but with the help of HEAVY DUTY CRUISERS magazine, we've begun introducing SLATIN MOTOGEAR products to Australian motorcyclists.  So, why Australia??  Well, its quite simple, actually.  We are based in Northern Arizona, USA, where our hot weather season is from June through October.  Then, the hot weather ends, and it has to go somewhere, right?  Well, it turns out that the hot weather next goes to Australia.  So, our warm and hot-weather riding gear can be a great help to Australian riders, much as it helps riders in the USA.  I might even get to ride there next summer!  So, if you're in Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, or even China, think of our gear as the great solution to looking great, being comfortable, and riding safely.  After all, you do want your skin and bones to stay on you and not the road surface, right??

Cold Weather Riding Gear

Cold Weather Riding Gear

Here in North America, it is getting cold, as we move into the Winter Season.  But that does not necessarily end the riding season, as not everyone lives where they will be snow bound.  For those of us (me included), we need a riding jacket that is waterproof, with a thermal liner for colder days that zips out and with air vents for warmer days.

Our answer to that is the waterproof, SuperFabric SMG-1, now in Black/Grey and in Black/HiViz colors.  We gave it a removable, easy-zipper thermal liner and a hidden, zippered air intake between each  shoulder and neck, facing front with a wide air exhaust in the back. Like all of our jackets, the liner is complete with sleeves, with CE-1 Armor at the back, shoulders, and forearms.  We made the zippers tougher to withstand cold weather and wide zipper pulls that are easy to grab with gloves already on.  Your collar is comfortable, too, with an ultra-suede lining that will not chafe, but be soft and comfortable the entire time.

We use SuperFabric at high abrasive points like shoulders and elbows, stitched with a Kevlar thread. Remember, SuperFabric has FIFTEEN TIMES the abrasive resistance of Kevlar

Priced affordably at $199, of course.  That usually leaves you with enough money left over for a pair of our great motorcycle riding jeans, lined with Kevlar across your butt and thigh-sides and CE-1 Armor in the hips and knee.  We also make these jeans, which sell for $99, right here on our website.  So, come take a look and buy before they are all gone.  Do not worry if you got the wrong size.  We will exchange for a more 'fitting' size in stock and do the same with everything we sell.

Meeting Slatin MotoGear Customers

Meeting Slatin MotoGear Customers

To Slatin MotoGear, customers are like extended family members; there is an instant connection.  Take today, for example...I was actually driving the highway, running errands that needed something bigger than an MC to bring stuff home.  While driving, my thoughts were overtaken with the image of a large, white, MC; of which something seemed familiar.  Some miles down the road, I had closed the distance between us.  Sure enough, there was something, actually more than something that was familiar.  We came to a traffic light, the only one for about 6 miles.  As we came to a stop, I saw that it was a Victory Vision, glistening magnificently in the late afternoon sun.  I called out for the rider's attention, then asking if he had bought that at the local dealer, to which he smiled and said "yes."  I then asked if he remembered the red one at that dealership--he nodded yes and I introduced myself as the happy Owner of the MC I call "Big Red."  But wait---looking closer, he appeared to be wearing a Slatin MotoGear SuperFabric Mesh Jacket. I very briefly explained my connection and suggested we pull off and meet at a couple of exits down the highway.

Now I ask you, what are the odds?? Meet Russ Dowling, a happy member of the Slatin MotoGear Extended Family. He talked about how he wanted a new jacket and like our Black SuperFabric Mesh Jacket.  Even more, he liked that Slatin MotoGear was based locally!  With that---and the eye-popping price value, he bought it and really likes it, the features, the fit, the look, and the great price.  Plus, if he buys some of our other gear, he can say that he met me, which gives him a 15% discount on top of our regular low sales prices!  So, look for me, Richard Slatin.  I'm the one on the big, shiny Red Victory Vision wearing SMG MotoGear and YOU can be the next one to get an extra 15% discount off our already low prices!!

How to Enjoy Riding without Hand Pain

How to Enjoy Riding without Hand Pain

Okay, let's talk.  We're all friends, right?  SO, I'm riding a smooth V-Twin, counterbalanced, etc.  BUT, after 20 minutes, my hands are tingling, then painful, and then NUMB!  I rode this same bike three years ago, and had NONE of this!  My hands don't bother me otherwise, not at all in my daily life; just while riding.  My hands hurt like I'm operating a jackhammer; you know, that thing that goes up and down really fast and breaks up pavement.  So, I'm thinking "what do those people use for their hands?"  Well, a month later, I have a very good answer for you and a new product to offer; which are inexpensive, specialty gloves that WORK!  Now, these gloves don't cure any medical problems---that's for the doctors to handle.  BUT, using these gloves, most, if not all, of your symptoms are managed and you can ride again! With these Gloves, you can have your riding smile back on your face. Buy a pair and see if these work as well for you as they do for me. Try 'em and if they don't work, return 'em for a refund.  If they DO work (I think they will), I'd appreciate you sending me an email with a mini-review---2-3 sentences are fine.
